Are age gap relationships wrong

Are Age Gap Relationships Wrong? When it comes to dating, age is just one of many factors I consider when I’m looking for a match.

It’s quite common to date somebody who’s a couple of years younger or older than you, and often the age difference is no big deal. Maturity levels sometimes match, even when ages do not. But when the age difference is bigger, there are other things to consider.

1.    Power/Control

there may be a difference in power between you, particularly if you’re at different stages of life (for example, you’re in high school and the other works full time). The older person would usually take on a greater role in the decision-making process. The younger person may find it harder to express his or her opinion, especially when it comes to relationship issues. Aging is not the only force-affecting factor. Gender, race and economic background might also play a role in the dynamics of relationships.

2.    Sex

being able to explore it at your own pace is a big part of feeling well about your sexuality. The older person may have more experience when there is a difference in age and want to do things the younger person isn’t ready for. The younger person may feel pressured to have sex or perform other sexual activity which is never OK. But I know a lot of people that would like this. Meaning They find it exciting that the older person as more experience because its adventurous and of course you would think they know what they’re doing.

3. Maturity

One of the refreshing things about dating someone more mature is that they have learned to be self-acceptant. They tend to encourage you to accept who you are too.

If you struggle with your uniqueness, quirkiness, or those strange eccentric qualities that others strike as strange, when you’re with someone older and mature, they’ve often learned through life experiences that it doesn’t always fit smoothly in a box. You may actually enjoy having someone around who is multi-faceted and carrying with them a different perspective. The bottom line is that with someone more mature you may feel more comfortable being true to yourself.

4. Stability

For every older man, this is not a set rule. Yet, generally speaking, if you date someone older, they should be more healthy. In their lives, they should have some degree of consistency as they should have been able to create a more solid foundation in their lives. This stability can be soothing versus dating someone who still tries to figure out who they are, what they need to accomplish and where they’re heading.

In conclusion, are Age Gap Relationships Wrong? gap relationships aren’t bad. These types of relationships have been going on for centuries. When it comes to the dynamic of the relationship, people love the drastic change from what a more experienced partner brings.
